Description
As a child, before going to bed, I imagined a small hole or a house in a tree trunk. Winter all around, snow, the wind howling somewhere, throwing up snowdrifts. Cold and sad. But inside, in the tree trunk, it was light and warm. And a feeling of calm and comfort came, which only happens in childhood, but to which now I so want to return. Many years later, I saw drawings on this topic on the Internet and realized that I was not the only one who dreamed of small cozy houses. Each of us needs a place where there is warmth and light, where you can hide from the cold and melancholy. Even those who have long grown up. And maybe especially those who have long grown up?
I wanted to turn a childhood dream into a night light. To look at the lights of the fireplace, or at the pot in the stove, or at the firewood carefully stored for the winter, and float away to sleep. Like in childhood.
The work is not finished yet, but the eldest daughter (19 years old) has already asked for it for New Year. A repeat is possible.
